Tributes paid to former Plymouth Argye captain Simon Walton
PLYMOUTH Argyle players have paid tribute to former captain Simon Walton after his departure from Home Park.
The 24-year-old midfielder completed a move to League One outfit Hartlepool United on Friday.
Argyle released Walton with 12 months still remaining on his contract to allow him to be closer to his family home in Leeds.
After the announcement was made, Walton's former team-mates tweeted their thoughts.

Walton, who signed for Argyle from Queens Park Rangers in August 2008 and made a total of 66 appearances, also took to twitter on Friday night.

Bournemouth's former Argyle loan signing Steve Fletcher, who was born in Hartlepool, also tweeted his best wishes to Walton.
