Try a sport from just £1
FROM athletics to zumba, a world of sport is opening up for young people this autumn.
The Sportivate scheme kicks off next month, with sessions costing just £1 a time for people aged 14 to 25.
Plymouth City Council's sports development unit is taking bookings for the six-week programmes.
Activities available to try range from climbing and canoeing to zumba and street dance.

The Sportivate programme is funded through a Sport England initiative giving young people an opportunity to try a new activity and receive high quality coaching over a six week period.

ORPHANS in Eastern Europe will soon be opening boxes of goodies from Plymouth.
Women from the city's Soroptomists have packed up 50 shoeboxes full of treats like dolls, balls, sweets and crayon for underprivileged children in Moldova and Ukraine.
Many of the children are in orphanages.
The nationwide Love in a Box project has been run by the Mustard Seed Relief Mission for the past ten years, sending 50,000 boxes a year.
PLYMOUTH residents hoping to tackle their weight in time for Christmas, can go to an open day this Saturday.
Weight management programme, LighterLife, is opening a centre at Woodland House, Forresters Business Park, Estover Close.
Those interested can go to the event between 10am and 3pm.
THE public is invited to join Girls Brigade members for a coffee morning event.
The 10th Plymouth Girls Brigade will welcome people to Maurice Baptist Church on December 1.
The seasonal event, which will include mince pies and a range of stalls, will take place at the Ham Drive church between 10am and midday.
A CLOTHES sale of quality second hand ladies, gentlemen's and children's clothing takes place on Saturday, October 27.
New to You, is to be held at St Stephen-by-Saltash Parish Church, running between 10am and 2pm where refreshments will be available.
