Twilight teaser
WITH the second part of Stephanie Meyer's popular book series about to hit the big screen this week, Her is celebrating the Twilight series by re-creating some of our favourite scenes from the first film using fashion from Plymouth stores.
Plymouth models Karl Negus and Alexandra Bell agreed to be our 'Edward' and 'Bella' and we scoured the Independent Quarter to find outfits from Plymouth City Market (Lady Lucrectia, Dress to Impress, New Trends, New Touch, Rochelle's, Vintage & Retro Clothing) SW1 and John Brown Menswear.
One thing we couldn't control was the weather, which added to the atmosphere, but turned Edward's meadow into a mud bath and forced us to use alternative backgrounds indoors!
Make-up artist Josie Lock captured Bella's natural look.
"I used very pale foundation to capture the vampire type of look, natural and not too different from the model's own skin colour. I've used a darker colour to sculpt the face.
"I've darkened the eyebrows and used thick, dark false eyelashes to accentuate the eyes. The dark lipstick contrasts the pale colour.
On the male model I used some foundation and corrector around his eyes to make them look pale and bring out their colour."
