The 22-year-old, of Woolwell Table Tennis Club, Plymouth, smashed an incredible cross-table winner during the loss which heralded his devastating exit from the Games, agonisingly shy of a quarter-final place.
The effort from the world number five was reminiscent of Boris Becker in his pomp, diving for winners at Wimbledon and ended up on YouTube – and is a runaway winner all over again.

Wetherill said: "Apparently, I'm world famous with the shot on YouTube. From a table tennis player's point of view, I thought the shot was pretty good.
"But there are people saying it's the best shot in history, or something."
He added: "I suppose I've got something to show for the Paralympics, but I'd rather have a medal than be on YouTube.
