VIDEO: 'Why we're backing Plymouth's City of Culture bid' - Weapons of Sound
Plymouth is bidding to be named UK City of Culture 2017. We are asking the people of the city to speak up to support the move. Today junk band Weapons of Sound, lend their support to the campaign.
Weapons Of Sound (WOS) is a Plymouth-based junk band which started in January 1993 and still continues to bash out our own brand of junk percussion.

Having brought our own brand of percussion which includes kitchen sinks, gas pipes and shopping trollies to other City of Culture events, we know how being the City Of Culture celebrations can excite, bring opportunities, enhance celebration and pride and boost the existing creativity of any city.
Plymouth revels in celebration and WoS are proud of our Plymouth roots.
We believe that Plymouth being awarded the City Of Culture would give us all fantastic opportunity to celebrate our city.
