VIDEO: US newsreader asks Mo Farah 'haven't you run before?'
A US news station has been left red-faced after its anchor failed to recognise Olympic champion Mo Farah, asking him in an interview "haven't you run before?".
Farah, the UK's greatest-ever distance runner, took part in a cringe-worthy television interview after winning the New Orleans half-marathon on Sunday.

WDSU anchor LaTonya Norton asked Farah "haven't you run before?"
The champion, who won two gold medals in the London Olympics last year, was asked by WDSU anchor LaTonya Norton "haven't you run before? This isn't your first time?".
Mild-mannered Farah at first appeared baffled by the anchor's question, pausing before asking "sorry?".

But the ever-modest athlete politely explained "no, no this isn't my first time, I've done before a half marathon but not New Orleans, this is my first time in New Orleans".
The anchor then told Farah, who set a new record in the half-marathon by sprinting to victory in 61 minutes, "you're off to a great start".
She then asked Farah "do you have any other races coming up?".
The news station even uploaded the cringe-worthy interview to its website.
Twitter users have taken to the social networking site to mock the US anchor and praise Farah for his response.
