WEST End stars have been putting budding young actors through their paces.

Children from the Stagecoach theatre school welcomed a VIP duo to their Plymouth and Ivybridge bases.

Blood Brothers stars Dominic Ferris and Craig Whitley led a series of workshops based on the classic musical Les Miserables.

The pair have clocked up hundreds of appearances in hit shows between them.

Their successes include Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Hairspray and Les Miserables itself.

Around 200 children got expert advice and training at three-hour 'masterclass' workshops.

They learned the same warm-ups, training techniques, dance routines, musical numbers and famous scenes that the cast of Les Miserables use every day in London's West End.

Youngsters were also treated to an exclusive performance by Dominic and Craig, who both star in the latest incarnation of the long-running hit.

Stagecoach holds classes in dance, drama and singing every term-time weekend for children aged between four and 18.

The Stagecoach Performance Group will be going on the stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in London next month.

They are due to perform a new song and dance routine which has been written entirely themselves.
