Voces, directed by Martyn Warren, celebrating its 25th anniversary in Buckfast Abbey
SHOULD you prefer vocal music, Saturday, November 17 might prove something of a dilemma.
On the one hand there's Voces, directed by Martyn Warren, celebrating its 25th anniversary in Buckfast Abbey at 7.30pm – doors open at 7pm – with a suitably grand programme of music by Hassler and Giovanni Gabrieli, augmented by Jonathan Watts (organ continuo) and Jan Spencer (violone) – admission is free, with a retiring collection.

Or, the same evening, but in Landrake Church, again at 7.30pm, South West Chamber Choir, under musical director Stephen Trahair, presents Season Songs – featuring unaccompanied music by Joachim Fischer, as well as more traditional settings by Morley, Bach and Elgar.
