THE Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby development squad will be training in Plymouth to help build the South West's only wheelchair rugby team on November 8 and 9.

The team will meet at Mayflower Sports Centre between 10am and 4pm on both days.

Wheelchair rugby is a unisex sport designed for persons with upper and lower limb disabilities to be able to compete using a classification system.

The sport is played on a basketball court in specially-made rugby chairs.

It is the only full contact team sport for persons with a disability and is seen as a fantastic rehabilitation tool.

Rob Tarr, the GBWR development coach and Para-Olympian, will also be speaking at a Plymouth City Development Company event during Enterprise Week. For more details visit the www.plymouthenterpriseweek.com website.
