THE P&D U18 league, sponsored by Tony Pryce Sports, was completed successfully having suffered difficulties with rain and raising teams, which left some matches unplayed by the deadline.

The four divisions were made up of 18 teams from 11 different local clubs, involving over 90 players.

Division One was dominated by Whiteford Road A, unbeatable before the last match against a stronger Hill Lane team.

In Division Two, Plympton B maintained an exceptional performance, losing only one match to second-placed Whiteford Road B. Saltash battled valiantly to finish in third place.

Division Three was a close contest between three teams, with newcomers Callington taking the honours over Devonshire and Yelverton.

Division Four featured new young teams with little match experience but proved to be the most competitive. Tavistock B suffered a big defeat to Plympton C in the last, rain delayed match leaving Whiteford Road C on top as the surprise winners.

Alison Diver, the league secretary, thanked all the players for the great spirit they showed and said the league were looking forward to another competitive year in 2013.
