Whittaker aims to make it three on the trot at Mount Wise
PLYMOUTH are eyeing a hat-trick of victories and closing the gap on visiting Bradninch with another positive result at Mount Wise tomorrow (1pm).
The city side have eased their way from the relegation places with back-to-back wins over Heathcoat and Sandford.
Skipper Callum Whittaker is naturally buoyed by his side's upturn in form and fortune but is only too aware of what goes up can equally swiftly plummet earthwards.
Nevertheless, Whittaker wants Plymouth to approach their home match with confidence as the 2012 Premier Division season approaches its halfway stage.

He said: "We've had good wins in the Prem and also won well in limited-overs cricket and in the Sunday stuff, so yes, we're playing confidently.
"If we can get past Bradninch successfully tomorrow and then say pick up two more victories, that would give us five at the halfway stage, which is exactly where I wanted us to be.
"But we need to up our game in the batting, as we're bowling very well, as we showed last week against Heathcoat.
"If we can get that balance right then I see no reason why we shouldn't be chasing a top four place in the second half of the season.
"But if we don't perform to our potential, then we could find ourselves looking at being in the bottom two again."
Whittaker will leave his team selection until later today. Plymouth start the game 10 points behind Bradninch (82pts), after collecting 20 points for their nine-wicket humbling of Heathcoat.
