Lee, who had a successful career in recruitment and advertising, beat 20,000 participants to take ‘The Apprentice’ title in 2008. After successfully setting up Amscreen, with Simon Sugar, he left Lord Sugar’s company in 2010 to start his own business to find and develop 'Raw Talent'.

He will also help students with CV writing and interview techniques during a series of interactive workshops which are being held in the College’s employability centre, theworkspace.

Sharron Robbie, Corporate Relations Manager at the College, said: “We are very excited to have Lee as our special guest for National Apprenticeship Week. He is deeply committed to supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential and is a great advocate of the Apprenticeship scheme.

“Lee’s presentation to 200 members of the student body at the College is a real coup - he is incredibly inspirational and I am sure our students will gain a real benefit to hearing how Lee has succeeded in life and in business.”

Lee said: “The opportunity to support young people in achieving their goals is something that I am passionate about. I set up the Raw Talent Academy in order to search out individuals who may not have had the best start in life, but who have hidden talents that just need some support in order to shine!

“City College Plymouth is supporting its students via a range of really innovative ideas - theworkspace, the College’s new employability centre is a case in point - being able to provide a range of workshops and industry visits to students to improve their employability skills is really spot on.”
