THE CONDITION of a woman who was involved in an accident with a bus at Mutley Plain has improved.

The 45-year-old is still in a serious but stable state, but police last night said she had made "some improvements".

The woman was involved in the accident involving a Citybus vehicle near the Fortescue pub at Mutley Plain at 2.30pm on Monday, as reported in The Herald.

“Mike, your obviously a bus driver and if your not how can you talk about abuse when you urself have just abused in your post thicky. Also the previous threads were saying about what the bus drivers do e.g. late, dont turn up, abusive etc, .... not the passengers, are you slightly remedial Mike that you can read a simple posting and understand it. If you are a passengerMike then you are obviously the sort of small, creeping rear end licking sort of little man that wud accept however you were treated by a driver, just like you more likely do from your wife and try your hardest to creep around one of them. maybe thats why your opinions and sayings will never be listened to or ever taken seriously apart from maybe that of your 5yr old grandchildren who fall asleep whenever you start talking. Everyone knows what these miserable drivers are like and how bullying they become when they know they can.”

“in regard to my 2 previous posts, in the know, i agree with your views as well.

taxi drivers is not all about how fast you can get to a place because your rates are based on the number of times the tyre spins round is that correct. so if you go slower it still works out the same rate you do as if you were speeding, which you shouldnt anyway.

with regards to complaints they are really bad at getting back to people and always coming back to you for more information. secondly the only thing i dislike about drivers is on their way back to citybus, there is a sign saying please dont distract driver without cause and you get other workers standing behind the driver talking and if you say something they will be arrogant sit on the nearest seat closest and still distract. i have mobile phone evidence of this and will be forwarding it to the relevant parties. take up driving lessons and you wont have anything to worry about anymore”

“actually MARION your totally wrong and stuck up cow for all i care. I do get citybus everyday with a monthly pass and to be quite honest its the publics attitude as to how the drivers react to you. if you are short of money or miss the last bus its not the drivers fault. if youre having a bad day or had a bad day then dont take it out on the drivers just get on and make it a happy journey, after all they could refuse you. at the end of the day thank them for getting you from a to b, as without this service you would walk!!!!”

“How has this got into a rant about bus drivers? Mutley Plain is too narrow and busy. This is the council, not the bus drivers. Of course, they could change the route not to go down Mutley Plain then either you or someone close to you will have a cry saying there is no buses going down there. Anyway, back to my point, the bus wasnt on the kurb, my bet goes on the woman stuck her head in the road. Foolish, lets hope it has knocked some sense in to her.”

“Number 61 + 62 constantly leave Transit Way early just because they presume everybody has boarded ? We dont wait 20 minutes previous to departure ! Some of us do actually prefer to come over and catch the bus on time rather than sit and wait in the cold you know. Complaining doesnt help either, the customer services have every excuse in the book to protect their drivers and the citybus name, but whats dangerous is that their drivers are suffering no consequence for their disgusting actions to usually alot of vulnerable people if they stopped and thought, and because of this lack of consequence it carrys on + their behaviour becomes worse thinking they can get away with anything. Maybe these drivers are even that thick that they do not even realise that it is them that are the sitting ducks if they push things to far, not the passengers. Just remember, theses kids have dads, the women have husbands, and the vulnerable have brothers, tough guys.”

“They keep harping on about getting public transport. How many times dont the buses arrive ? How many times have you seen the buses actually leave 5-10 minutes early just because theirs nobody waiting ? How many times have you seen the cowardly drivers looking at you through the doors and not opening them, just because they have shut them and they are in a mood about something else, like little babies and not real men. How many times have you seen them allow drunks and druggies on the bus because they are scared and not doing their job correctly, for those druggies and drunks to sit next to you and bother you ? Also how many times have you waited an extra hour only to be told that the previous stop had been aborted on that certain day ??? THIS IS WHY WE DONT GET PUBLIC TRANSPORT NUMBNUTS, BIT OF ADVICE, STICK TO YOUR CARS IN PLYMOUTH, ITS SIMPLY NOT WORTH IT.”

“I always condone violence, but now when I see Bus driver attacked in the Herald, I can actually see why. I know you cant tar with the same brush + theirs always one worthless jobsworth that spoils it for the rest, but I do agree that the miserable, bullying, arrogant sort far outnumber the normal men on plymouth citybus. And I mean, come on what do you expect ........ it is plymouth”

“All the usual stuck up do-gooders sticking up for something they know nothing about as usual. As usual do any of you bores even get public transport ? Noooop, and also as usual, if you do actaully have to catch a citybus bus, you will realise exactly what I am saying then you wil be the first to say how many drivers should never have been permitted to work with the public with their disgraceful cowardly attitude. Simply the usual boring do-gooders, Proves the point that you only commented after I made the first comment. Pathetic ..... as usual.”
