Woman arrested in connection with alleged assault caught on video has been bailed by police
A YOUNG woman arrested on suspicion of punching and kicking a teenager in the face has been released on police bail.
The 18-year-old was arrested on Monday on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm following the alleged assault in Honicknowle Lane, Honicknowle, on Sunday evening. She is set to answer her bail on May 6.
Footage of the alleged attack on an 18-year-old girl was posted on the internet and went viral soon after, as reported in The Herald.
A police spokesman said: "We would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Honicknowle Lane on Sunday between midnight and 1am and witnessed any activity."
