Woman and child flee home after chip pan blaze
Fire crews were called to a flat in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth in the early hours of this morning after a chip pan set fire to a kitchen.
When the crews arrived at the ground floor property in Tamerton Avenue at 1.15am a woman and child had already managed to escape the building.

Two firefighters entered to extinguish the blaze and ventilate the smoke logged flat.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
