Woman critically ill after two-car crash in Plymouth
AN ELDERLY woman was critically ill in intensive care at Derriford Hospital after a car crash at the weekend.
Two cars were involved in the crash, which happened at about 4pm on Saturday at the junction of Crownhill Road and Transit Way.

Police did not know the cause of the accident but said yesterday that they believed there had been "a medical incident".
The woman, who had been driving a silver Renault Clio, was said to be "critical but stable" yesterday afternoon.
Police said the driver of the second vehicle, a Renault Scenic, had suffered minor shoulder injuries.
Traffic was badly disrupted by the crash. Police closed off Crownhill Road in both directions approaching the scene, which was at the entrance to the Transit Way shopping centre.
Police said the road remained closed until about 7.30pm.
