Woman denies Plymouth motorbike death drive charge
A WOMAN has denied she drove dangerously, causing the death of a city motorcyclist.
Caroline French, aged 47 and who lives on a farm at Wrangaton, South Brent, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court yesterday where she pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and to the alternative charge of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The charges relate to the death of Andy Carter on August 8 last year.
French was driving a tipper lorry, while grandfather-of-four Mr Carter, aged 51 and from Whitleigh was riding a Kawaskai motorcycle.

The collision happened at the junction of Manadon roundabout and Mannamead Road.
The court heard the single issue in the case was the colour of the traffic lights when the tipper lorry crossed the junction.
French, who appeared wearing a dark grey sleeveless jumper and a long brown skirt, was released on unconditional bail pending a three day trial set to begin on February 4, 2013.
