Plymouth woman tried to bite PC's ankles
A WOMAN kicked, scratched and tried to bite two police officers while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, a court heard.
Sarah Duke even tried to bite the ankle of one of the officers trying to arrest her at her home, Plymouth magistrates were told.
The 34-year-old, previously known as Stone, admitted assaulting the two PCs in the execution of their duty on September 15.
Prosecutor Gareth Warden said Duke called the police to her home in Norfolk Road, Laira, just after 7pm.

He said she shouted and swore at her partner and police and started throwing furniture around.
The court heard officers believed she was under the influence of drink or drugs.
Mr Warden said Duke kicked a PC to his legs and tried to bite him, then kicked out towards his colleague.
He said Duke tried to bite that PC's ankle, but was eventually overpowered with incapacitant spray and handcuffed.
Magistrates adjourned sentence for a probation officer to prepare a report.
Duke was released on unconditional bail to return on December 12.
