Work at night
THE roadworks at Laira Bridge are undoubtedly necessary, but was it not possible to carry them out without creating such chaos?
The genius on the city council who decreed that work could only be carried out during the day, must surely have realised that it would be much quicker to work 24 hours a day, especially as there is little traffic on that road at night.
As there are no residential dwellings in the vicinity of the bridge there are no residents to be inconvenienced by noise at night, so that cannot be the reason.
Could it be that Tudor Evans knows there are few Labour supporters in the Plymstock area?

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I completely agree with all of the comments made. Why could they do work over night during the last set of 'improvements' but not now?????? Could I also ask that people using the Plymstock to town side of the road learn about manners. So many people zip along the outside lane passing all of the patiently waiting members of the public, only to PUSH in right at the last minute. The sencond lane is for access to CDS and not just because you can't wait your turn. Get some manners people!!!!”

“passed over it yesterday ... 4 "managers" one with a clipboard . 3 guys stood behind a lorry talking and one guy sat in a small van smoking a ciggy ( which is against the law ) . It took over an hour to get from the gridlocked city to see this .
Passed it today and no work done because it was raining . No work at weekends or evenings . The whole thing is a scandal.”
