How you can add your news, views and pictures to thisisplymouth
FOR more than a decade The Herald's website, thisisplymouth.co.uk, has been the best place online to find all the latest Plymouth news, sport and entertainment.
But the site is more than just a place for us to tell you what's going on – it also allows anyone in the city to share their views, stories, pictures and events.
A key part of the design of thisisplymouth is user-generated content (UGC), which means alongside what we add to the site, you can also upload whatever you want.
The Herald and thisisplymouth Digital Publisher Neil Shaw said: "Hundreds of people already add their own content to thisisplymouth every day – from comments on articles to pictures taken across the city, events added to the What's On pages, stories and reviews of businesses in our directory.

"Thanks to all your content the site is packed with the latest news and information and is truly representative of the views of Plymouth."
Anyone can register to upload to the site – either as an individual or as a group.
Schools, sports teams and charities, along with everyone else, can add their own news, pictures, events and press releases.
Businesses can promote their latest news, as well as claiming their profile in the directory to take control of how they appear.
And if you use a business in the city you can find it in the directory and let people know what you think, with a rating and a review.
Amateur and professional photographers can show their skills or show off a great picture they've taken.
Neil said: "Comments and pictures are among the most popular UGC parts of the site.
"People love to have their say on the latest news, so stories can attract hundreds of comments.
"Many of those comments are then reprinted in The Herald, alongside a picture of the day chosen from the site. If you upload a picture or add a comment to thisisplymouth you could see it reproduced in print.
"More than that, as an individual or organisation in the city you can upload your own news and promote your own events, while businesses can claim a profile in the directory and start promoting what they do."
The site attracts around half a million unique visitors a month and approaching six million page views – meaning that whatever you add gets a potentially massive audience in and out of the city.
