Easter joins U's on loan

Thursday, November 20, 2008, 19:03

PLYMOUTH Argyle striker Jermaine Easter has joined League One Colchester United on loan.

The 26-year-old Welsh international (pictured above) had been on loan at the U's League One rivals Millwall.

He initially joined the Lions in late-September on a one-month 'emergency' loan, before extending his stay at the New Den by a further two months.

However, his first-chances chances became limited.

And U's boss Paul Lambert, who was his manager at Wycombe, who Argyle paid £210,000 for Easter in January, made an enquiry.

Argyle invoked a 24-hour recall clause to temporarily bring Easter back to Home Park, before he joined the U's until the New Year today.

Easter is set to be included in the U's squad for their trip to Peterborough United on Saturday.
