Top bands to play at community street party
TOP acts will perform at a street party which aims to "bring the community of Stonehouse together", organisers said.
This year's Union Street Party, organised by Stonehouse Action Group, will be this Sunday from 12-4pm, with two music stages.

Nationally renowned Plymouth band, Land of the Giants, will play on the main stage, as well as popular city reggae band, Dubclass and funk and soul group, Cuckoo Collective.
Land of the Giants describe themselves as "frankly genre defying", incorporating dub rock, indie ska, funk blues. Party-goes will also be treated to performances by Filipino British Association Dancers and dance group, Street Factory.

Hannah Sloggett of Stonehouse Action Group, said: "The party is all about celebrating what is great about Stonehouse, it's a chance for the community to come together and have fun. "We support local talent, community groups and businesses to create a unique family event that brings Union Street alive."
Union Street will be closed from the Octagon roundabout up to the Aldi car park. The Palace Stage will be hosted by Mama Tokus, with performances from pole dancers, belly dancers and various city youth and community groups.
Organisers also said to look out for street entertainment from circus groups such as Emerge Youth Circus and Fire Circus.
There will also be traditional fairground rides, giant puppets and food stalls. Organisers sent out thanks to this year's funders which includes:
