SHOPS across Plymouth are joining forces for a celebration of the city's style. Plymouth Style Week takes place from October 25 to November 1 with events happening across the city.
A mega shopping day on Thursday, October 30 with great savings at stores across the city, a live shop window competition and makeover competitions are just some of the events throughout the week.
And Her readers will take centre stage as the winners of our "ten years younger" makeover competition which will be launched next week.
Three of Plymouth's hottest shopping venues: House of Fraser; Debenhams and M & S, working with Boots, are each offering head-to-toe makeovers worth at least £350.
Each of our three winners will get a brand new look – with hair, beauty and clothes – and the results will be captured in portraits by Herald photographers.

As well as offering great discounts on Thursday, October 30, stores will also be taking part in a live shop window competition where real people will take the place of mannequins to bring shop window displays to life.
Several shops will also be running their own competitions, displays and other special events throughout the course of Style Week. Watch out for more details in Her and The Herald over the coming weeks.
There will also be the chance for a student to win a total makeover – not only their hair and clothes, but also their flat!
And shops will be showcasing the beautiful furniture and home accessories available in Plymouth with a home makeover feature, also to appear in Her on October 29.
David Draffan, managing director of Plymouth City Centre Company, said Style Week would be a celebration of the abundance and diversity of shops in Plymouth.
He said: "From Drake Circus and the department stores to the independent shops of the West End, Plymouth has a wealth of style. As well as a great choice of fashion, including a growing number of designer brands, there's a wealth of homewear, from art to the perfect kitchen accessories."
He said retailers were joining forces to make Style Week mega day a great family event and the Live Window Competition would be the highlight.
He said: "Shop windows will literally be coming to life in the most fascinating ways in what promises to be a hot competition pitting man against mannequin."
