Two boys rescued
TWO boys were rescued after they were cut off by the tide while fishing off West Hoe Pier.
Brixham Coastguard said that at 2.50pm on Saturday the Plymouth Coastguard called two fire engines from Greenbank to rocks close to the Hoe.
Firefighters reached and rescued the boys using a triple extension ladder. The fire service said the boys were unharmed.
The fireboat Vigiles later investigated a report of a large object floating in the Sound, which turned out to be a large patch of seaweed.

“West Hoe Pier?? I'm sure you mean the rocks near West Hoe Pier. Come on Herald, I think a lot of your reporters need some sort of re-training, or a good kick up the a++e.”
