WORLD industry experts will be coming to Plymouth to take part in the second International Cruise Conference from February 18 to February 20.

The conference is at the University of Plymouth, which offers a degree in cruise management, and will be opened by Prof Ross Dowling, from Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. In his keynote speech, he will consider the latest developments and trends facing the multi-billion-pound cruise industry. There will also be a series of masterclasses during the conference designed to show work in the industry and share practical skills.

Conference chairman Dr Philip Gibson said: "We are honoured to host this world-class event, which will showcase the university as the UK education leader in this field and put Plymouth well and truly on the map.

"This is also a fantastic opportunity for our cruise management students to gain hands-on event management experience and network with leading industry professionals," he said.
