Two in court over Plymouth robbery attempt in the early hours
TWO men have appeared in court charged with attempting to rob a woman and attacking a student.
Jody Galloway, 31, and 27-year-old Ryan Northmore appeared at Plymouth Crown Court accused of trying to snatch the 20-year-old's handbag. They are also accused of common assault against a man during the same incident.

Galloway, of Whitleigh Green, and Northmore, of Kinnaird Crescent in Southway, allegedly attempted to rob the young woman on November 11 last year.
They are accused of assaulting the 21-year-old man by beating shortly afterwards.

The alleged offences happened at around 3.30am at the junction of Beaumont Road and Greenbank Avenue in St Judes.
Neither man has indicated a plea and the case has been adjourned until March 25.
Galloway was remanded into custody while Northmore was granted bail.
