Man faces Marine death driving charge

Lance Corporal Richard Kenneth Lamb of 42 Commando – who had only returned from a six-month tour of Afghanistan two weeks before – died following a motorbike crash near Lincoln on April 21, 2007.
The 25-year-old was travelling with a friend as a pillion passenger when the bike left the road near his home village of Bassingham.
Neil Kersey, 27, of Hope Street, Lincoln, has denied causing his death by driving carelessly while over the prescribed limit.
The Honda 600cc bike left Carlton Road near the Lincolnshire village.
Mne Lamb suffered serious head and back injuries and was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.
He died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
The trial, which is expected to last three days, is due to begin at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
