Two fire crews were called to the petrol station at Sainsbury's Marsh Mills at around 1.30pm today after reports a car had hit a pump.

On arrival at the petrol station on Plymouth Road they discovered that two vehicles had been involved in a collision on the forecourt.

There were no reports of any injuries and crews made the scene safe using tools and environmental equipment.

A member of staff at Sainsbury's said they had to close the petrol station for an hour to allow the fire service and their own staff to clear the scene, but had now fully reopened.
