“I don't get why the media are getting excited about this. Paedophilia clearly IS a medical/psychological condition. People don't just wake up one day and decide 'today, just because I'm naughty, I shall develop an attraction to youngsters/dead people/animals/etc.' It's obviously either genetic, or brought about by some early childhood trauma.

That's not to say we shouldn't deal effectively with anyone who presents a danger. If medical treatment isn't enough to keep them from causing harm, then imprisonment/chemical castration/etc. are justified to protect everyone else.”

“Kids should be encouraged to spill the beans right away if ever a peedo abuses them, that way it can be brought to court without any delay. Beats me why kids wait 30 or more years, or until the abuser is dead before talking about it.”

“@ davedave, mate its an horrific crime, it is not a mental issue its the same as rape, what about this, if a guy fancied you and raped you should that be treated as an illness? its sick and wrong and should be delt with more harshly than any other crime, if some pedo touched my girls, I would make sure those people felt the total pain of every kid who as ever been abused.

places should be made for pedos, like 17th century jails for life imprisonment, or they should be branded on there forehead thrown into society and have no rights or protection from the law.”

“It appears to be a mental state, like homosexuality or trans-sexuality, but we're forced, by law, to accept two out of the three. I hope the government doesn't plan on including this one too.”

“Not sure I would buy into the mental illness assumption, neither do I think its such a good idea to place assumptions that people who have been abused go onto to be abusers their selves. Thats just labeling victims who could end up being psychologically affected, thinking people will be pointing an accusing finger at them. Putting them off disclosing their abuser!”

“When designing a magickal order, Aleister Crowley may well have considered how to deliver wisdom in an ego-less manner, so that no criticism is raised to the one delivering the information or advice and is only ever seen in guidance as Jesus Christ rather than in anger as of Satan, and in matters of unknown, all the wisdom of all Gods and guardians and all peoples. Wilfrid Fox Napier has reasonably summated all current medical, philosophical, psychological, and theological, methodologies on the subject area of padeophilia, and if one pauses for a moment with a second of patience rather than immediately ranting at the man for speaking, then it is obvious it is not the advice that is being criticised, the ranter merely finds that Christianity doesn't work for them. Pyramid marketing suicide cults such as Freemasonry and Church of Scientology fail in this manner as systems of wisdom, being as they are a system of enlightenment (telling a story one way and the other using only men so any mis-understanding can be said to be spoken by another in witness half or arisen only in the mind of the one in doubt), and a system of money (never give an answer just keep them guessing whilst they come back for more, spending money) and are very bad losers. The Argenteum Argenteum, being as it was such that Aleister Crowley's sister was born into a Christian family, encompasses both the beast and the angel guardian so all may find God rather than be trapped in Hell as Satan in any form. Rant over. RA”

“Whether people choose to call it mental illness or crime or whatever, they won't get under Jesus's radar, he said- "if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea" (Matt 18:6)”
