“"As I am walking across the pedestrian crossing on Exeter Street towards the barbican. On the corner of Exeter Street and Bretonside where all the job centre employees come out of the back entrance to have a smoke!!! i was confronted with a pile of cigarette ends which i found discusting and degrading to our city. I took a picture as I was so disappointed and shocked to see!!! surely they could clean it up after themselves.
I am not against smokers but I am against them littering our pavements with their habit!!!"”

“If they were bio-degradable then it would be relatively ok i reckon. There aren't enough people keeping our streets clean anyway, services being sold off by the council (how is this allowed??), bins so dirty that you dont want to go near them. The seagulls regulate most of the bins around central Plymouth. We are governed by people whos primary concern is profit and who have taken/squandered way more than they have put back into the country. For too long. I see evidence of it everywhere i go”

“Write to the jobcentre and the council or report it to the police as littering is an offence maybe they will send a pcso down to offer some advice, A lot of people seem to think that littering is fine and then moan they live in a dump.”

“It seems that cigarette smokers are exempt from worrying about what happens to their cigarette ends - I have been the victim of having a lit cigarette end which was thrown from a moving car landing in my lap while I was riding a motorcycle. I had to take quick action to stop safely.
I am not against smokers - I was one myself - but they should think about where that burning end is going when they fling it from the car window.”
