For the 3rd year running, Plympton Hash House Harriers proudly present the Autumn Trail Run @ Newnham Park, Plympton.

This is a unique opportunity to admire the beautiful wooded valley within the private country estate of Newnham Park.

The approximately 8 mile multi-terrain course takes you through green meadows, along forest tracks and several times across the shallow river. Leaving you wet and muddy, but exhilarated! The race would suit runners of all standards, including beginners.

You have to travel a long way to find any race similar to this.

There is ample free on-site car parking available, toilet and changing facilities (but sorry no showers on-site) bag-drop station, music entertainment, and a variety of hot and cold refreshments available to purchase. Of course, no Hash House Harriers event would be complete without a beer tent!

This year, ALL finishers will receive a commemorative T shirt and goody bag.

If you register for the race prior to 21st September 2012 (28th September 2012 if registering on-line), the entry fee remains at the 2011 prices. Any on-the day entrants, however, will be charged an additional £3 entry fee.

Due to popular demand, there will also be an approximately 2 mile multi-terrain Fun Run for children aged up to 16 years. Though, youngsters, under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Fun Run entries can be made in advance or on the day at the cost of £2.50. All Fun Run finishers will receive a commemorative medal and goody bag. What better way to keep the family occupied whilst you tackle the big one!

The Autumn Trail was first staged in October 1999 by Frank Elford Sports and soon became an annual event. It attracted around 800 competitors each year, raising at least £15,000 for the St Lukes Hospice charity over the ten years it took place.

Plympton Hash House Harriers resurrected this popular competitive event to the Devon racing calendar in 2010, raising thus far, in excess of £1,000 for charity. The Devon Air Ambulance Trust will be the beneficiaries from the 2012 Autumn Trail Run.

The race is held under UKA rules.
