Organisers of the Dartmoor Challenge Charity walk would like to announce this year’s walk which will be happening on Saturday 1st September 2012.
The Charity walks are being held to raise funds for two charities ‘Help for Heroes’ and the ‘Barchester Foundation’.
The day will consist of walks ranging from 5 to 15 miles. There will also be a specialised walk for local residents of Barchester Healthcare care homes who have physical and complex needs.
Members of the public are welcomed to come and support or join us on the walks, the walks will start from the Burrator Inn car park in Dousland and registration will start from 8.30am. The event over the last 2 years has touched hearts and minds with what could be achieved; both for so many who walked without any experience, and particularly for the group of younger people who have complex physical needs. The response following the walk was overwhelming hence this has become an annual event. Over 100 walkers participated last year and we will be aiming to achieve this again this year.
