Tuesday, December 01, 2009, 11:19

AUSTRALIAN drum and bass electro-rockers Pendulum are to play Plymouth Pavilions in May next year.

The band, originally from Perth now relocated to the UK, are renowned for energetic live shows, and will be in the city on May 30, 2010.

The bands first single, Vault, was released in 2003 but it was 2008's Propane Nightmare which rocketed them to public attention, hitting number nine in the UK charts.

They hit the festival circuit across Europe last year and went on to tour North America, before toruing Europe again this year and announcing the release of a third album.

Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul Harding started out as drum and bass producers in Australia but it was fusing electro rock sounds into their music that brought them into the mainstream.

The band claims to use 13 computers during live sets, mixing sounds from their instruments in real time.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 4 December and will cost £22.50. Tickets may be subject to a processing fee.
