Prom Praise with All Souls Orchestra
The All Souls Orchestra, London, will be performing under the name of Prom Praise with conductor Noel Tredinnick.
The Christian orchestra, formed by Noel in 1972, represents many different denominations and professions.
Some are professional musicians working with English National Opera and Glyndebourne and orchestras including the BBC Concert, BBC Symphony and the City of Birmingham Symphony.
Since formation, more variety has been added to their repertoire by the Langham Sinfonia, which plays chamber music concerts, and the All Souls Band, an informal line-up with a jazz/rock emphasis.
Viewers of Songs Of Praise will know Noel, who is director of music at All Souls, Langham Place, in central London.
His musical talents have seen him conducting at the Sydney Opera House, the Conservatorium of Music in Moscow and City Hall in New York.
In more than 40 years he has worked with a variety of artists and entertainers including Lesley Garrett, Cleo Laine, John Dankworth, Sir Cliff Richard and many others,
Tickets for the Plymouth show are £14 (£11 for the unwaged and students) and available by calling 01935 824938 or from the Christian Literature Centre in Cornwall Street.
