Here we Quo again – 40 years of hits

Thursday, February 12, 2009, 14:15

IT'S an incredible 40 years since Pictures of Matchstick Men charted a debut hit for Status Quo, setting off them on a road to stardom beyond their wildest dreams.

Now as one of the UK's longest-lived and best-loved bands, Quo return with their Pictures – 40 Years of Hits tour, offering their die hard fans the chance to hear another dose of that irresistible three chord, no-nonsense blues'n'boogie.

"The 2008/2009 tour is going to be very special for us," says Francis Rossi. "We are going to celebrate in style: we want all our true fans to join us at these special shows to be a part of a piece of Quo history."

Support comes from upwardly mobile Surrey-based singer/songwriter Luke White who is thrilled to be performing his atmospheric bluesy-pop/rock on the tour. He says: "I am so lucky to have this opportunity: Status Quo are rock legends and I'm just so grateful that they're having us on their UK tour."

The Quo juggernaut rolls into Plymouth Pavilions tonight. There are still a handful of standing tickets available at £31.50 from the box office on 0845 146 1460.
