More than 100 exhibitors were on hand to offer couples the ultimate wedding experience, from beautifully designed dresses and delicious food to sparkling engagement rings and even musical entertainment.
But the star attraction of the hugely popular event, which was once again held at the Plymouth Pavilions, were the bridal catwalk shows featuring designer outfits for all members of the wedding party.
There were a whole host of gorgeous gowns for women to covet, with dresses for the bride, mother of the bride and guests as well as smart suits for the groom.
One bride-to-be hoping to get some tips for the big day was Alex Marshall.
The 23-year-old from Plympton got engaged to fiance Daniel Hext on New Year's Day and visited the show for some top wedding ideas.
"We haven't set a date yet but it will be in September next year," she said.
"The show has a good range of ideas and because we are not sure what kind of wedding we want it was good to come here and have a look."
Another blushing bride was 27-year-old Kim Pender from Southway who is planning a wedding with fiance Jimmy Gray.
"We got engaged in September last year after a candlelit dinner on the beach in Egypt," she said.
"We are getting married at Whitsand Bay Hotel in September but I am here today to get things started.
"There is a lot here to look at and choose from. It's great."
The Westcountry Wedding Show was organised by The Herald with the catwalk show by Andrew Facy Productions.
Sarah Slater, organiser from The Herald, said: "It's been a great success.
"Lots of local couples came and got lots of great ideas about planning their big day."
She said about 2,000 people attended the show.
One of the fashion shows was dedicated to the memory of Gillian Richards, of Marian Fashions, who died last week.
