Parkway striker Wright ruled out for the season

PREMIER DIVISION

PLYMOUTH Parkway have been hit by the news that striker Chris Wright will be out for the rest of the season.

With Andy Sargent also unavailable, Parkway are left without their regular strikeforce for the visit of Liskeard Athletic to Bolitho Park tomorrow (3pm).

Wright was expected to be out for up to six weeks after breaking a bone in his foot, but a return visit to hospital revealed he will not play again this season.

Manager Dave Leonard has promising youngster Callum Martindale away with Devon county youth leaving him to include second team players Daniel Worth, Phil Daniels and Dean Smith in his squad.

Liskeard could be without three of their squad with goalkeeper Ian Baker working, while Jason King and Mike Burke both went off injured in the crucial 2-0 midweek victory over Elburton Villa.

Manager Leigh Cooper brings goalkeeper Chris Wearing back into the firing line along with central defender Chris Sully.

SALTASH United will have to put Tuesday's Throgmorton Cup disappointment behind them when they entertain bottom club Elburton Villa at Kimberley Stadium.

The Ashes will be without suspended midfielder Gavin Coulton, while they have a doubt over Shaun Manley's fitness and central defender Toby Clark (illness).

Manager Kevin Hendy has Lee Doel available, after he was cup-tied for the 2-1 midweek defeat to Ivybridge, and is hopeul Paul Madden will have recovered from an ankle injury.

Elburton boss Scott Bamford is well aware his side have to start winning if they are to avoid relegation, but will be without Matt Purnell (work), Jon Winters (unavailable) and Glen Halford (work), but does have Darren Edwards returning from suspension.

IVYBRIDGE Town had five of their squad missing for the midweek cup success at Saltash but are hopeful they will all return for the visit of Newton Abbot Spurs to Erme Valley.

Joe Davey and Paul Edwards were cup-tied in midweek while Steve Hatfield (illness), Ben Annis (unavailable), Jamie Middleton (groin) were also missing, while manager Brian Howard awaits fitness tests on Jamie Morgan (hamstring) and Lance Bailey (ankle) before naming his starting line-up.

TAVISTOCK could be without five of their first team regulars when Falmouth Town provide the opposition at Langsford Park.

Mike Southgate (work), Jimmy Steer (work), Mark Conday (suspended) are ruled out while Dave Hallett (groin) and Shane Krac (foot) are both rated very doubtful, leaving manager Ian Southcott to put second team youngsters on standby.

VOSPERS Oak Villa have Rikki Allen fit again to join their squad who travel to Treyew Road where Truro City await.

Manager Pete Charlick has signed goalkeeper Gary Turner from Ivybridge who competes for the number one shirt with Paul Pethick.

Gareth Jones and Mike Small are both free of work commitments while John Wyatt has recovered from a knee injury, but defender James Boon misses out because of work.

Mike Thackeray has passed himself fit while Ryan Thomason, Jamie Jones and Chris Belstone are free of work commitments.

Goalkeeper Dan Pen-Collins has served a one-match suspension, which will be good news for defender Shaun Bonney who had to don the keeper's jersey in last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Foxhole that sent Millbrook to the bottom of the division.
