Never forget holocaust: MP
AN MP has pledged her commitment to the Holocaust Memorial Day for those who died during the atrocities.
Sunday will mark the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Nazi concentration and extermination camp, the site of largest mass murder in recorded history. In the weeks running up to the anniversary a Book of Commitment has been placed in the House of Commons for MPs to sign and honour the victims. Sheryll Murray, MP for South East Cornwall was one of those to sign the book. She said: "We should never forget the past atrocities that took place. It is important that we mark this important day."
Karen Pollock MBE, chief executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, which placed the book in the Commons, added: "It is vitally important that we remember and learn from the appalling events of the holocaust – as well as ensuring that we continue to challenge all forms of hatred and bigotry."

“Sherryl Murray MP is right when she says we should never forget the atrocities of the past. By remembering them hopefully we learn from them and ensure they are never repeated elsewhere. So can Israel please explain its actions in Palestine?”
