The do-gooders have had their day
A WISER man than me once said: The nation that neglects its family life, does so at its peril!
Therein lies the answer to the current malaise. Pardon a personal reference, but my wife and I had three children.
We played with them and took an interest in those things that interested them and we smacked their bums when they stepped out of line. They were part of our lives and we loved them to bits. They all three went on to obtain university degrees and to establish good, stable family lives, for their own offspring.
So a good solid, stable family life is self-perpetuating, but sadly, so is an unstable family background and like one of your contributors I shudder to think what the future will bring, unless there is a massive sea change.

We must bring back corporal punishment in our schools, parents must be allowed to chastise their children, children must be taught their responsibilities as well as their rights.
They must be taught that there are such things as consequences for bad behaviour and to achieve this we must get rid of all the do-gooders – the lunatics who have taken over the asylum since the end of World War II.
