Three masked men with weapons gain access to home, attack resident and steal
THREE masked men brandishing weapons gained access to a home in Stonehouse and attacked an occupant before making off with property.
Officers said the three men gained access to the property in Hastings Street at about midnight on Tuesday.

Police said that ‘a number of items of property were stolen’ — however they are so far unable to confirm what was taken in the burglary and what weapons were used.
A spokesman said that police are now appealing for witnesses following the aggravated burglary.
The spokesman said: “During the incident three men gained access to the property, with their faces covered and while brandishing weapons.
“During the incident one occupant was attacked and assaulted by the three men.
“Before leaving, a number of items of property were stolen, and taken to a vehicle which was believed to have been used by the offenders as they left.”
The spokesman said that all three men are described as being white men, aged in their 20s to early 30s, and of slim build.
Two men wore light coloured ‘hoody’ tops and the third wore a slightly darker jacket. One of the men had light-coloured hair.
Police said they are keen to speak to anyone who either witnessed the incident or may have information that would assist the investigation.
