Both men were remanded in custody and magistrates adjourned the case to Plymouth Crown Court until September 24.

Police said at the time that two members of staff were threatened in Clifton Stores at 9pm on Sunday.
Detectives also revealed the victim of the alleged Quay News robbery was 19 years old.
