Shake a tailfeather with Peacock rock
Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 16:57
Who are they? The Peacocks, that's who – and they're heading for The White Rabbit tomorrow.
These cool cats have been around since 1990, and they love nothing more than taking their rock'n'roll around the globe – which they have indeed done.
Twice.
In that time they've sold thousands of albums, including In Without Knocking and the Angel, which won them a deal with Asian Man Records, and they've shared stages with everyone from Mighty Mighty Bosstones to Voodoo Glow Skulls and Rancid.
In 2004 they released It's Time For … The Peacocks which came out on five record labels in five countries on three continents.
They followed up with a tour of every European country they could think of, plus Canada and Japan for good measure, then proceeded to tour 14 states of the USA, staying on to record their latest long player – Sonic Iguana. Phew!
Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch them at The White Rabbit when support comes from Russel Can't Drive, Denada and Consolation Prize Fighter.
