A COUPLE may have seen the man who carried out a terrifying attack on a young woman in her home.

The 23-year-old student was targeted by the man in her student accommodation in Camden Street, Greenbank at around 4.45am on November 22.

Investigators say the man may have followed her home before going into her house as she opened her front door, grabbing her around the neck and strangling her.

Fortunately her struggles and screams sent him fleeing the area.

A couple walked along nearby Gibbon Lane a few seconds after the victim.

Investigating officer Pc Dominic Nicholls said the attackers motive is still unknown and he hoped those pictured will now come forward with any information about what they saw that morning.
