Labour celebrates birthday of the NHS

Fifty people from across the city were invited to the celebration on Saturday in Stonehouse.
Former minister Lord George Foulkes, local MP Linda Gilroy and aspiring MP Luke Pollard spoke about the contribution of the NHS to Plymouth over 60 years, the challenges it faced now and the importance of not diluting the principles that healthcare should be free at the point of delivery in this and successive governments.

A revamped swimming pool at Marjon is being considered as the replacement for the demolished Seaton pool, rather than having a new facility built in the north of the city.
