Police were alled to Reservoir Road in Hartley at about 8.30pm on Friday report to reports of a disturbance.
On arrival they found a "large gathering of number of youths".
As a result of this incident a police officer was assaulted and sustained a minor injury.
One person was arrested and is currently detained in custody, awaiting interview.
Enquiries are ongoing and Police are investigating the reason for the large gathering of youths from the surrounding areas that led to this incident.
