Photographer hosts 'meet the artist' event

MONOCHROME photographer Mark Highton- Ridley has hosted a 'meet-the-artist' event as part of his exhibition of work at the city's Tamar Science Park.

Mr Highton-Ridley, pictured, met his audience to talk about his work, which is on show at the Phase 2 Building in the park at Derriford, and signed books of his photographs.

The exhibition is part of ParkArt, a rolling programme of exhibits at the science park by local artists.

Mr Highton-Ridley said: "I'm attracted to tone and texture, pattern and perspective, and structure and abstraction.

"When I spot such qualities in everyday scenes and objects, and bring them out in the digital darkroom, it's like seeing with fresh eyes. There's beauty to be found in the most unexpected of places."
