Plymouth celebrates Eid and Diwali
A FIESTA of food, dance and music descended on the city for a mega Diwali-Eid celebration.
The colourful extravaganza was organised by the South Asian Society to mark both Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, and Eid, one of the highlights of the Muslim calendar.
The annual bonanza attracted around 400 people to Plymouth Guildhall on Saturday night.
There was a fashion show, Indian cuisine and a DJ spinning tunes until midnight.
