Christmas Lights Switch-on at Tavistock Dickensian Evening 2012

“What a wonderful evening, great atmosphere and another successful Dickensian evening enjoyed by so many people. Lots of great stalls, and superb craft fair in the Town Hall. The shops full of people enjoying browsing and buying their Christmas gifts. Lots of tasty food and fun rides for the children and great entertainment.
A huge big thank you to the organizers for all your hard work.
On the down side can anyone explain as to what happened about clearing up the town of all the rubbish after the event?
Tidy Tavi volunteers yesterday and many residents and shoppers were disgusted with the sight of overflowing bins and the rubbish in the town.
Two Tidy Tavi teams working in the town did their best to help clear up the rubbish, even emptying some of the bins, and helping the one street cleaner that was seen trying to tackle the mess.
Something must of gone terribly wrong with organizing the clearing up the litter and mess in the town,
