Pirate day on Plymouth Barbican

“What happened to Pirate Days? Mathew the ship was the only attraction. A couple of groups of Pirates, what happened with getting some bands in, getting the shops and pubs involved, making it a celebration instead of a boring couple of days with one Pirate group doing their best to entertain people. Lots of people were asking what else was on, where are the other attractions, it was very embarrassing. The Waterfront Committee decided to put on the Pirate Days but there was no organisation and no money spent promoting it. What happened to all the funding you got? Spend a little and promote Plymouth through Pirate Days, if Brixham can do it then I'm sure Plymouth can. I don't think the pirate group will return next year if there is no improvement guaranteed. Hang your head in shame.”
