Hardisty, racquets manager at the Devonshire Health and Racquet Club, is taking part in the International Tennis Federation World Team Championships.
He will represent Britain in the over-40s category and face group play-offs against some of the best players in the world in their respective age groups.
Hardisty said: "Tennis has always played a huge part of my life, taken to me to fantastic places, and helped me meet some really interesting people.
"I am honoured to be representing my country."
Hardisty has competed for Great Britain twice before in the over-35s age group – on the second occasion as part of the winning team.
Hardisty has worked with many international players, including top five British player Sasha Slabinski.
He recently retired from the British Tour; when he did so, he was one of the oldest players on the circuit.
At one match, his young opponent complained it wasn't fair that he should be beaten by a 40-year-old.
Hardisty, who coaches beginners and upwards and is a familiar face in city schools, still plays for his county team, Sussex and represents the Devonshire at every opportunity.
The World Cup is being staged at Club Ali Bey, near Antalya which has an impressive 57 clay courts.
Hardisty partly qualified for the championships through his reputation and track record.
His selection for Great Britain was influenced by his performance at the British Open in Bournemouth.
Hardisty reached the semi-finals of the Open, which is regarded as one of the top international veterans tournaments.
He is leading October racquets camps during the schools half-term.
